As Tampa Bay's first and only Level I Trauma Center, Tampa General Hospital?is equipped to care for the most critically ill and injured adult and pediatric patients 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. TGH has dedicated resources including trauma surgeons, neurosurgeons, and other surgical and non-surgical specialists, medical personnel, equipment, and facilities to treat the severely injured. In 2017, TGH had more than 84,000?adult and 11,000 pediatric Emergency & Trauma Center visits.

The?world-class care we provide to our trauma patients has earned TGH recognition on the World's Best Hospitals 2019 list by Newsweek for?the traumatology specialty.

Patients arrive by ambulance, helicopter, and car. Those patients arriving by car should follow signs to the Emergency & Trauma Center where they receive complimentary valet parking.
